Shawn Post was last seen at his residence in the 2700 block Renaissance Way at around 7:40 a.m., according to City of Virginia Beach Department of Police.
Post is allegedly suffering from amnesia, short term memory loss, and confusion from a recent brain surgery, police said.
He is under constant care due to his condition and takes lifesaving medication frequently, officials said.
Authorities said Post was last seen wearing a white shirt with blue jean shorts and a red Nintendo backpack.
He was described as a 5'10, blue-eyed man, weighing 120 pounds, with brown and gray hair, police said.
